Amethyst (Thunder Bay, Ontario Amethyst Cluster) in Copper

This particular Thunder Bay Amethyst crystal cluster is a unique reddish purple due to the iron content in this variety of Quartz. I hand collected the material myself over the course of two visits to the Blue Points Amethyst mines a few years back. 
I have cleaned up the edges and back to make the crystal wrap comfortable and it is cut in a subtle heart shape. 

I have wrapped this beautiful piece in a fantasy inspired style in bare copper wire with added copper and faceted amethyst bead embellishments. 

I have antiqued the copper and hand polished it to give it a nice rich finish. 
It is the habit of copper to oxidize over time and further tarnish is a possibility, it can easily be removed with a dry polishing cloth. A small polishing pad will be included with this piece.

This pendant measures 3 inches from base to bail and 1.3 inch at its widest width.

This pendant will come on an 18” antiqued copper bead chain in a velvet pouch and gift boxed.
